Home-Made

The works are based on materials found in the home environment, primarily collected leftovers and debris such as paper, fabric, wax, sawdust, polystyrene, wipes, wood fragments, nylon, tape, hair, plastic glue, and acrylic. The objects oscillate between evoking the surface of a body and images of food, expressing an ambivalence between temptation and repulsion. This tension is heightened when placed on a real body within the home environment, evoking a sense of both belonging and alienation.
